BEARING
FRUIT IN THE SPIRIT
Norma Miller - Scripture - Joshua 24:15
Choose you
this day whom you will serve;
as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
Norma Miller
- Scripture - Psalm 118:24
This is
the day the Lord has made;
Let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Jan Weaver
- Scripture - Psalm 37:5-6
Commit your
way to the Lord;
Trust in him, and he will do this.
He will make your righteousness
shine like the dawn,
The justice of your cause
like the noon day sun.

Rosanna
McFadden - Scripture - Isaiah 40:31
They who
wait for the Lord
shall renew their strength,
They shall mount up with
wings like eagles.
They shall run and not be weary,
they shall walk and not faint.

Katy McFadden
& Karen Eis - Scripture - Micah 6:8
What does
the Lord require of you
but to do justice, love mercy
and walk humbly with your God.
David Eis
- Scripture - Roman 12:1
So then,
my brothers,
because of God's great mercy
to us I appeal to you:
Offer yourselves as a living sacrifice
to God, dedicated to his service
and pleasing to him.
This is the true worship
that you should offer.
Karen Eis
- Scripture - Matthew 25:40
The Lord
will reply," I tell you the truth.
whatever you did for one of the least of
these brothers of mine, you did for me"
Karen Eis
- Scripture - Isaiah 6:8
Then I heard
the voice of the Lord saying "Whom shall I send?
And who will go for us?" And I said "Here am I. Send
me!"
Cathy Barwick
- Scripture - Philippians 2:3
Do nothing
out of selfish ambition or vain conceit,
but in humility consider others better than yourselves.

Bruce Barwick
- Scripture - Proverbs 1:2-7
That men
may know wisdom and instruction,
understand words of insight,
receive instruction in wise dealing,
righteousness, justice, and equity:
that prudence may be given to the simple,
knowledge and discretion to the youth -
the wise man also may hear and increase in learning,
and the man of understanding, acquire skill,
to understand a proverb and a figure,
the words of the wise and their riddles.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge;
fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Myron Miller
Do unto
others as you would have them do unto you..
Sandy Gordon
- Statement
Outside
my window a new day I see, and only I can determine what kind
of day it will be. I can be busy and sunny, laughing and gay;
or it can be boring and cold, unhappy and grey. My own state
of mind is the determining key, for I am only the person I let
myself be. I can be thoughtful and do all I can to help or be
selfish and think only of myself. I can enjoy what I do and
make it seem fun, or gripe and complain and make it hard on
someone else. I can be patient with those who may not understand,
or belittle and hurt them as much as I can.
But, I have
faith in myself and will personally intend to make the best
of each day starting TODAY!

Sandy Gordon
& Judy DePue - Scripture - 1 Corinthians 13:4-8,13
Love is
patient and kind; it is not jealous, conceited, or proud. Love
is not ill-mannered, selfish, or irritable. Love does not keep
a record of wrongs. Love is not happy with evil, but is happy
with the truth. Love never gives up; and its faith, hope, and
patience never fail.
Meanwhile,
these three remain; faith, hope, and love. The greatest of these
is LOVE.

SERENDIPITY
PRAYER
God grant
me the serenity
to accept the things I can not
change, the courage to change
the things I can and the
wisdom to know the difference

Kathy Royer
- Inspiration Object
When my
daughter Anne graduated from high school in 1988, the best gift
I thought I could give her was The Serenity Prayer. (I also
paid for her college education.)
Myrtis Justiniano
stitched the saying and it was beautifully framed. Since Anne
was in a dorm, she allowed me to hang it at our house for a
few years. Every time I looked at it, I had hope for the present
and future.
Now, with
a home of her own, she asked for it. The saying hangs on her
living room wall. I guess the best inspirational object is one
we pass on to our family and friends.

Bill &
Rosemary Pletcher - Statement
Always put
yourself in another's shoes
If you feel that it hurts you,
it probably hurts the other person, too.
Bill &
Rosemary Pletcher - Statement
Don't go
for looks; they can deceive.
Don't go for wealth; even that fades away.
Go for someone who makes you smile
because it takes only a smile to make a dark day seem bright.
Find the one that makes your heart smile.
Bill &
Rosemary Pletcher - Statement
May you
have enough happiness to make you sweet,
enough trials to make you strong,
enough sorrow to keep you human,
enough hope to bring you joy.
Bill &
Rosemary Pletcher
YOU NEVER
KNOW
You never
know when someone
may catch a dream from you.
You never know when a little word
Or something you may do
May open up the windows
Of a mind that seeks the light -
The way you live may not matter at all
But you never know - it might.
And just
in case it could be
That another's life through you,
Might possibly change for the better
With a broader and brighter view,
It seems it might be worth a try
At pointing the way to the right -
Of course, it may not matter at all,
But then again - it might.

Bill &
Rosemary Pletcher - Statement
Yesterday
is the past
Tomorrow is the future
Today is the present
And that is the reason it is a gift
Bill & Rosemary Pletcher - Statement
It is true
that we don't know what we've got until we lose it,
but it's also true that we don't know what we've been missing
until it arrives.
Bill & Rosemary Pletcher - Statement
NOT FOR
LONG
I knelt
to pray but not for long,
I had too much to do.
I had to hurry and get to work
for bills would soon be due
So I knelt
and said a hurried prayer,
and jumped up off my knees.
My Christian duty was now done
my soul could rest at ease.
All day
long I had no time
to spread a word of cheer.
No time
to speak of Christ to friends,
they'd laugh at me I'd fear.
No time,
no time, too much to do,
that was my constant cry,
no time to give to souls in need.
But at last the time, the time to die
I went and
stood before the Lord,
there I stood with downcast eyes.
For in his hands God held a book;
it was the book of life.
God looked
into his book and said
"Your name I cannot find.
I once was going to write it down
but never found the time."

Bill &
Rosemary Pletcher - Statement
The happiest
of people don't necessarily
have the best of everything;
They just make the most of everything that comes along their
way.
Bill &
Rosemary Pletcher - Statement
When you
were born you were crying and everyone around you was smiling.
Live your life so that when you die, you're the one who is smiling
and everyone around you is crying.
Bill &
Rosemary Pletcher - Statement
The brightest
future will always be based on a forgotten past;
you can't get on well in life until you let go of past failures
and heartaches.
Walt Gilliland
& Jean Mann - Prayer
PRAYER OF
SAINT FRANCIS OF ASSISI
Lord make
me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love.
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy..
O Divine
Master, grant that I may not so much seek
To be consoled as to console;
To be understood as to understand;
To be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen.

Janet Berkebile,
Bill & Rosemary Pletcher - Scripture - Psalm 100
Shout for
joy to the LORD, all the earth.
Worship the LORD with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.
Know that the LORD is God.
It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving
And his courts with praise;
Give thanks to him and praise his name.
For the Lord is good and his love endures forever:
His faithfulness continues through all generations
Grace Bollinger
- Statement
"I
believe that friends are quiet angels who lift us to our feet
when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly."
"People
are like stained glass windows.
They sparkle and shine when the sun is out,
but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed,
only if there is a light from within."
