Fish Fry Wrap-Up
The Fish Fry was a great success thanks to all the volunteers and donations from the congregation. We pre-sold 432 tickets. The top ticket seller being Carolyn Colver who sold 46 tickets. THANKS CAROLYN!! We served a total of 655 people at the fish fry. 260 of them were served in the first 45 minutes. That takes TEAMWORK!! The expenses for the fish fry totaled $4698.15. The Breakdown for expenses is as follows:
Food $ 209.27
Paper Products $201.44
Drinks $53.87
Advertising $509.93
Tickets $63.69
Outlets $450.00
Coffee Pot $50
Dan’s Fish Fry $3159.95
We had a total of $716.49 donations given to cover some of these expenses. Our profit made from this event was $883.34. That is a great profit for our first year. There are always more expenses the first year. For example, the cost of the outlets, signs, and coffee pot will not applicable next year. We all learned a lot from this first year and we would like to invite all of you who worked the Fish Fry to join us on August 6 at 6:30 at the church to discuss the things that went well and where we could improve. This event was a huge undertaking for our congregation and without faith and looking above for direction we may not have had the same outcome. The Followers of Faith hope that this event has strengthened your faith and are looking forward to the next opportunity to reach for the sky. Mark your calendars now, next years Fish Fry has been scheduled for July 17, 2010.
Cookbook
Typists – we need to have all your typed recipes turned in no later than August 2.
Don’t forget the proof-reading event on August 10 at 9:00 a.m.. The more volunteers we have to proof read the quicker we can finish.
Cookie/Candy Walk
We have received 1 scale (Thanks Lois) for this event; we are looking for 1 or 2 more. If you have a scale which we could use for this event please see Doris Walters or Angi Marcin. If you haven’t began baking cookies, start baking now!!!!!
