A NEW BEGINNING
On Sunday, November
14, 2004, the Elkhart City Church congregation voted to change its
name to Creekside.
June 12, 2005 was
the Official Goundbreaking ceremony for the new church building. Speakers
included Pauline Arnold, Church Board Chair; Pastor David Bibbee;
Maryann Zerbe, Cornerstone (building) Team Chair; Eric Hooley, Project
Manager, Ancon Construction; Arnold Dietz, Pastor of Baugo COB and
Creekside Moderator; Herman Kauffman, Northern Indiana District Executive;
and Daniel Petry, Pastor of Middlebury COB and 2005 Northern Indiana
District Moderator.
On August 29,
2005, the first dirt was moved as construction began.
On May 14, 2006,
the first worship service was held at the new Creekside facility
on County Road 113.
On September
24, 2006, the new facility was dedication at an afternoon Dedication
service.
