Ruth E. Bibbee
June 25, 1926 - January 21, 2007

Ruth E. Bibbee, 80, of Elkhart, formerly of Marion, Ohio, died at 5 p.m. Sunday (Jan. 21, 2007) in Hubbard Hill Estates. She was born June 25, 1926, in Richwood, Ohio, to Benjamin and Richie (Hudson) LeMay. On June 29, 1947, in Marion, she married Lewis E. Bibbee. He died in 1995. She is survived by one son, the Rev. David M. Bibbee of Elkhart; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Ann Marie; three sisters, Dorothy Wetzel, Margaret Bushatz and Elizabeth Reichelderffer; and three brothers, Wilmer, Robert and Bill LeMay. Mrs. Bibbee was employed for several years by A-1 Catering in Marion. She was a member of First Church of the Brethren in Marion and was a hospital and Meals on Wheels volunteer.

Visitation was held at Creekside Church on January 23 from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Then in Marion, Ohio, on Thursday, January 25, from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Gunderhall-Folk Funeral Home on West Center St. The funeral was held there on Friday, January 26, at the First Church of the Brethren, 860 East Church Street, Marion, Ohio. Burial was in Marion Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to Creekside Church of the Brethren or the Center for Hospice & Palliative Care.
