Welcome from Pastor David

On a twenty-acre tract located on CR 113, a field that once grew corn and alfalfa is growing a church. After years of dreaming, discerning, and planning, the new facility of the Creekside Church of the Brethren has become a reality. But as excited as we are about our new home, we know that we are about something more precious than property. A verse from a hymn we sing called, "What is This Place," puts it in perspective:

What is this place where we are meeting?
Only a house, the earth its floor, walls and a roof,
Sheltering people, windows for light, an open door.
Yet it becomes a body that lives when we are gathered here,
And know our God is near.

In Jesus, God has come near. The reality of his presence is the sole reason we exist. In Jesus, we have the very best example of who to be and how to live. The people who belong to Creekside are no different and no better than you. What sets us apart is our commitment to follow Jesus on an adventure called faith.

Years ago I was studying to be an architect. The instructor spoke of the security of an architectural drafting career. He said, "In this field, you won't have to worry about being replaced by a computer." So much for his vision of the future! All the design work and construction prints for our new building were computer generated.

Computers are involved in so many facets of our lives, and as time goes on they will play an ever-greater role. The Creekside Church website offers us an opportunity to connect with many more people than is possible on Sunday morning.
